Before I go too deep into the what the #1 digital marketing channel is, I’d like to start off by stating I intend to keep this article “Evergreen.” So while you may be reading this in May 2019 right after I originally published it, if you read it in May 2020 I’ll have updated it with whatever the most impactful thing is at that time. This post is meant to be a quick read that simply tells you what you should be doing, why and includes a reference to a guide on how to implement it.

What Is It?

I’m going to just get straight to the point. The #1 digital marketing channel you can use right now in May 2019 (and for at least the foreseeable future) to increase brand awareness and reach as well as drive more traffic to your website is… Instagram Stories.

From Wikipedia, here’s what Instagram Stories are and how they came about:

“In August 2016, Instagram launched Instagram Stories, a feature that allows users to take photos, add effects and layers, and add them to their Instagram story. Images uploaded to a user’s story expire after 24 hours.”

Why?
